After the hectic carnival Monday and Tuesday at home followed by a sombre Ash Wednesday, clients were taken to the tranquil “board walk” at Carenage. Jude Patrick Rootsyard, facilitated the use of the Skallywag space for our morning exercise followed by gentle walks along the “board walk” bordering their property on one side and the wonderful tranquil waters of the Gulf of Paria at the Chagharaman peninsula.
The time of day was ideal for meditation and contemplation. The inclement weather did not dampen spirits as the rain arrived after all had enjoyed the walk along the “board walk” and collected a Tambran or two from under the Tambran tree on the beach.
We were safely (enscorned) seated under the covered area of the facility until the rain subsided, then with the assistance of a Skallywag staff member, clients were assisted back onto the maxi for the return trip to the Centre for lunch!
