A Day of Vibrance and Connection: Our Visit to Chapala Mas & Production TT

On Thursday, January 16th, 2025, we at J&C had the privilege of treating our clients to an unforgettable field trip to Chapala Mas & Production TT. This new and innovative band, created by Onik’s Trading Ltd., has quickly gained attention for its unique approach to celebrating culture through art and design.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was no ordinary visit. The mastermind behind Chapala Mas, Ms. Onika, greeted us warmly and set the tone for an immersive cultural experience.

The Art of Storytelling Through Costumes

Ms. Onika’s passion for her craft shone through as she sat with our clients and shared the inspiration behind her designs. The costumes, each named after iconic Mexican landmarks, told stories of history and heritage. Through vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and meticulous craftsmanship, every piece captured the essence of its namesake, blending Caribbean Carnival energy with Mexican influences in a way that was both innovative and breathtaking.

Our clients had the rare opportunity to touch, feel, and even try on some of these exquisite costumes. Seeing their faces light up with excitement and awe was a testament to the transformative power of creativity.

Music, Refreshments, and Pure Joy

Ms. Onika’s hospitality extended beyond the costumes. Refreshments were provided to keep everyone energized, and the atmosphere was electrified by Soca music spun by her DJ. Clients couldn’t resist the rhythm, and soon enough, everyone was on their feet, dancing and celebrating together.
